
A 27-year-old Callao man is being held in Gloucester County Jail following a robbery report involving Kay’s Jewelers.
Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office said the robbery was reported on Saturday, May 9, around shortly after 5 p.m.
When police responded to Kay Jewelers Kay Jewelers at 6738 Fox Center Parkway #7, they reportedly saw the suspect vehicle attempting to flee and that vehicle led Gloucester police on chase that went into York County, prompting assistance from York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office and the Virginia State Police.
Gabriele Nicola Randazzo was apprehended and taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Randazzo has been charged with grand larceny, burglary, felony eluding, and reckless driving.
GCSO said an active investigation remains underway and additional charges in Gloucester and York counties may be forthcoming.
Based on a search of Virginia court records, Randazzo has no prior criminal history.
