
A Philadelphia man has been extradited to Virginia in connection with a 2024 burglary at the Aeropostale store at Leesburg Premium Outlets.
According to Leesburg Police, officers responded to the store around 5:15 a.m. on November 23, 2024, after receiving a burglary report. They arrived to find the front door’s glass shattered and an undisclosed number of items stolen.

Investigators identified the suspect as 59‑year‑old Timothy Earl Root. He was extradited to Loudoun County on March 3 and is charged with burglary, possession of burglary tools, grand larceny, and destruction of property.
Root is being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center. Police say the investigation remains ongoing.
