An investigation is underway after another group of New Yorkers were arrested for “organized retail theft incidents” in northern Virginia stores, Leesburg Police Department announced.
On Sunday, LPD arrested 10 people at the scene of one of their alleged hits.
It was about 5:30 p.m. when LPD responded to Target at 1200 Edwards Ferry Road NE. LPD said it was reported that a group of individuals took merchandise from the store, left, and divided up into two vehicles.
Those vehicles were stopped as they were leaving the parking lot and large amounts of Target merchandise was found, LPD confirmed. Officers also found merchandise from other stores, the department added.
The group involved included eight adults and two minors. All of them were arrested, said LPD.
The eight adults are:
• Yerianny De los Angel Carrasquero Salas, age 26, of New York
• Amilkor J. Camargo Sarmiento, age 29, of New York
• Fernando De Jesus Pizarro Paredes, age 35, of New York
• Keider J. Vacca Velazco, age 22, of New York
• Yoccelin M. Rodriguez Barroso, age 31, of New York
• Nicandro Aguirre Guerra, age 30, of New York
• Yetsai Del Carmen Gerrero Toledo, age 22, of New York
• Edison Pinto Pardron, 25, of New York
All the adults were charged with grand larceny, possession of burglarious tools, conspiracy, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Additionally, Yoccelin Rodriguez-Barroso was charged with not having a driver’s license and open container of alcohol.
Yerianny Carrasquero-Salas was charged with having a fictitious registration.
And Fernando Pizarro-Paredes was charged with open container of alcohol.
All eight adult suspects were transported to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center and held on $3,000 bond that included $2,500 bond for the larceny and burglary charges and $500 for contributing to the delinquency of a minor charge.
The minors, who are also from New York, according to LPD were released to a family.
