Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin joined the state’s lawmakers in deciding enough is enough when it comes to making it common practice to usher children into court in chains. Virginia law currently allows police departments to keep any and all children physically restrained during their court proceedings. Identical bills sailed through Virginia’s House and Senate with lawmakers on both sides of the aisle agreeing the practice needs to be limited to select instances.
