18-year-old Charged for Ramming Chesterfield Fire Station

An 18-year-old is facing charges for intentionally crashing into a Chesterfield fire station.

According to a statement from Chesterfield Fire & EMS, on January 4, there was “a scary situation” at Station 7 on Hull Street Road. A car drove into the front of the station multiple times, breaking the glass bay doors.

The driver, “who was also driving a stolen car,” got into the station and was detained until Chesterfield Police arrived and arrested him.

Carson Lambert, of Moseley, a senior and football star at Benedictine College Preparatory, allegedly arrived at the fire station shortly before 3 a.m. He told told police he was at a bar in Richmond “getting jumped” and hopped into “a random car,” WRIC reported.

Lambert claimed he went to the fire station for help and first tried honking the horn but said when that didn’t work he then “drove into the building to wake the firefighters up,” WRIC said the criminal complaint states.

Chesterfield Fire & EMS said none of the firefighters were hurt.

Based on court records, Lambert has not been charged for the stolen car or any felony offenses for this incident, but he is facing five misdemeanors, including DUI, damaging a public building, refusing a breathalyzer test, possessing a fake driver’s license, and entering a property to cause damage.

Lambert is currently being held in Pamunkey Regional Jail. He was arrested arrested two days after the fire station incident for violating conditions of release from a case in Juvenile and Domestic Relations court.
