UPDATE: Parrish was taken into custody in Pittsylvania County on August 17.
Two days after Brett Landon Parrish walked away from a supervised work crew, Danville CrimeStoppers announced a $500 reward for information leading to his capture.
Parrish, 44, escaped custody around 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday, August 12, while working at H.B. Moorefield Park, located at 4550 Riverside Drive. He was last seen heading west on Riverside Drive.

A white male, Parrish stands approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs around 150 pounds. At the time of his escape, he was wearing blue jeans and a yellow t-shirt.
He is currently serving time for a probation violation stemming from an underlying burglary charge.
The Danville Police Department has been actively searching for Parrish since his disappearance, using K9 units and aerial assets to canvass the area. Despite ongoing efforts, Parrish remains at large.
