3 shot in Alexandria, including teen. Police seeking answers

Alexandria Police Department revealed that what began as a shooting investigation is now a death investigation.

Thursday evening, around 8: 14 p.m. APD was dispatched to the 1300 block of Wythe Street to respond to a report of shots fired.

Initially, APD reported that two people were shot. But later stated the investigation revealed a third individual was injured, a 15-year-old boy. He was grazed by a bullet and was treated at the scene, APD disclosed.

Two men were transported to the hospital. One, an unnamed 46-year-old, has been described as in stable condition since yesterday.

However, city resident Kwakia Frazier, a 25-year-old, was initially described as being in critical condition but has died from his injuries, APD announced.

As of late this afternoon, APD said detectives were canvassing the neighborhood and trying to get information from potential witnesses.
