A wanted man with 20 outstanding warrants was caught and arrested in Charles City County.
On January 28, James City County Police Department released a wanted poster for 22-year-old Tyler Kwan Wallace and announced he had 20 warrants issued between August and December 2024. The charges included abduction, assault and battery, strangulation, and child abuse, JCCPD said.
“Despite exhaustive efforts to locate him, Wallace remains at large,” said JCCPD. Although the department asked the public to provide information, the public was advised not approach him and said he should be considered armed.

JCCPD announced that on Feb. 10, its SWAT Team, Specialized Response Team, and Crisis Negotiations Team partnered with Charles City County Sheriff’s Office to execute a high-risk search warrant in the 9000 block of Barnetts Road in Charles City County.
There, Wallace was apprehended without incident. JCCPD said officers recovered a firearm, money, and suspected narcotics. Wallace will face additional charges in Charles City County, JCCPD confirmed.
Wallace was transported to the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail and is currently being held without bond.
