Two men have been arrested in a case involving fake money in Richmond County.
On April 29, Donte Steffon Sutton, a 28-year-old of Weems, was charged with knowingly possessing counterfeit money and two counts of soliciting an adult to utter forged currency knowing it was forged.

On April 23, Antquan M. Rich, a 30-year-old Heathsville resident, was arrested and charged with two counts of uttering and possession of forged bank notes.
Richmond County Sheriff’s Office shared an image of the fake $100 bills, which have “For Motion Pictures Purposes” printed in large letters on the front.

RCSO stated that Rich may have traveled through other jurisdictions.
Cases reported in Warsaw
Sean Peterson, Chief of Warsaw Police Department, reported that, in recent weeks, there have been multiple cases of “motion picture-style prop money” used at businesses in Warsaw, a town located in Richmond County.
Peterson said WPD’s investigations are separate from RCSO. WPD has not announced any arrests or charges.
