Daniel Ebinger, a 28-year-old Middlesex man, was sentenced to another 25 years for two counts of using a communications system to solicit a minor, Attorney General Jason Miyares announced.
The new charges stem from actions brought to authorities attention by a parent in New York. The woman contacted Haynesville Correctional Center where Ebinger was serving time and reported he had been sending love letters and making phone calls to her 13-year-old daughter.

The investigation revealed Ebinger communicated with at least two minors while incarcerated, Miyares reported.
A search warrant at his residence uncovered a cell phone with evidence confirming the illicit communications, which were further validated by forensic analysis of his social media accounts.
Ebinger later admitted to engaging in communications with the minor in New York via social media between 2020 and his incarceration in 2022. During these exchanges, Ebinger solicited sexually explicit content and proposed sexual activity with the minor.

Middlesex County Circuit Court handed down the 25-year sentence, which will run consecutively to a 7-year term Ebinger is currently serving for prior child exploitation offenses imposed in March 2022, followed his guilty plea to one count of internet solicitation of a minor and 10 counts of possessing child pornography.
That case began in 2019 when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children detected uploads of child pornography to various accounts linked to Ebinger through an undercover operation by the Southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
A search of his Middlesex home revealed 200 indecent child images, and Ebinger admitted to his crimes.
