According to the Sheriff’s Office, on June 13th a man went into the business. Armed with a gun, he pushed the clerk to the register, took some cash, and fled.

Spotsylvania deputies established a perimeter and started an investigation that involved multiple units, including K9 teams. That investigation led them to a “a nearby hotel” where Michael Kirksey was found and arrested from the room.
Kirksey was charged with robbery and served with a fugitive from justice warrant from Alabama where Kirksey is wanted for a parole violation.
He’s currently being held without bond. And Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office said additional charges are pending.
