Stafford police looking for man suspected in stabbing case

Stafford County police are looking for the suspect in an August 20 stabbing in Crystal Lake Mobile Home Park. That morning, shortly after 5 a.m., a call came in reporting the incident. By the time police arrived, the suspect, identified as Jamie Flores, had fled the scene, Stafford County Sheriff’s Office reported. Authorities didn’t give an estimated time that the stabbing occurred, but said Flores had a lengthy head start on his escape. The victim, who hasn’t been identified, was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. State Police in Maryland and Virginia have launched investigations after a Virginia Beach man allegedly stabbed two people, abducted his three children, and then killed the youngest in a fatal crash across state lines. According to Virginia Beach Police Department, a call came in at about 8:48 p.m. reporting a stabbing in the 900 block of Jay Are Court. Wanted Earlysville pair found in Caroline w/ U-Haul reportedly stolen in Tennessee

An Earlysville pair wanted on theft-related charges were caught in Caroline with a U-Haul that the Sheriff’s Office said was stolen from Tennessee. According to Caroline Sheriff’s Office, on August 10, Lt. B. Sadler spotted a U-Haul moving truck heading north on Rt. 301 that matched the description of one that he’d been advised was stolen from Tennessee. When Sadler ran the license plate, he confirmed that it was the stolen vehicle in question. But before he could turn on his lights to try to make a stop, the U-Haul made a quick turn into a driveway and the passenger jumped out and ran, CCSO reported. Lt. Arrested: Richmond man wanted in Tappahannock & suspected in Caroline murder case

Caroline Sheriff’s Office revealed 38-year-old Ron Jamaal Dawson is a person of interest in the Reginald Holmes’ murder. Holmes’ body was found in the woods on Sparta Rd. in May. Last month, 32-year-old Johnathan O’Bryan Ellis was charged for Holmes’ murder. At the time, Caroline Sheriff Scott Moser said additional arrests are expected. According to CCSO, Dawson and Ellis, both from Richmond, are close associates. And Dawson has been a person of interest since the early stages of the Holmes investigation. Mathews man pleads guilty for shooting at cars

A November 2023 Mathews County Sheriff’s Report stated a male subject was in the middle of Cricket Hill Road shooting a rifle at cars. MCSO reported that one driver told police the man pointed a rifle at his windshield. Another driver reported witnessing a muzzle blast come from the barrel of the rifle and said he had to take cover and drive on the shoulder to get around the shooter. Chesapeake men in jail after coming to Gloucester ‘with intent to steal’

Two Chesapeake men are in jail being held without bond after they allegedly traveled to Gloucester to steal $28,000 worth of equipment, Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office reported. GCSO said the men were caught on July 11 after a citizen saw and reported that someone was driving what appeared to be a new John Deere tractor on George Washington Memorial Highway, a four-lane artery that connects the Middle Peninsula to Hampton Roads. That citizen also reported that when the tractor got near Vulcan Stone, it was loaded onto a trailer. A deputy spotted a truck pulling a trailer with a John Deere, said GCSO. Chesterfield Fire Marshal’s Office believes the fires found along Iron Bridge Road on Monday were intentionally set. Just before 5 p.m. fire and EMS crews were dispatched for a report of a brush fire along Rt. 10 near Kingsland Rd. When firefighters arrived on the scene, they found two separate fires, one on each side of the road, Chesterfield authorities reported. Appearing to be intoxicated landed a Leesburg man in jail facing several drug and gun charges. According to Leesburg Police Department, officers were in the 75 Plaza Street NE area at around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday conducting foot patrol when they encountered 28-year-old Nicholas T. Roach, who “appeared to be under the influence.” LPD said Roach was placed under arrest for public intoxication.
