Franklin, VA man wanted for robbery, police trying to identify 2 others

Southampton police are looking for 24-year-old Dalveon Ricks of Franklin who is wanted for charges related to an April 4 robbery in Courtland.

Police responded to a robbery call in the 25000 block of Oak Trail and found a woman who reported getting robbed in the parking lot of the apartment complex by three men. SCSO said the victim’s purse, credit cards, and cash were stolen.

The police also said the woman was physically assaulted and suffered a minor injury.

Detectives identified one of the suspects as Ricks. He is facing charges of:

  • Abduction
  • Use of a firearm in commission of felony
  • Wearing a mask with intent to conceal identity
  • Robbery
  • Assault and Battery
  • Credit card theft
  • Grand larceny

Southampton Sheriff’s office said its investigation indicated that Ricks left the state, but there are indications that he may be back in the area.

Meanwhile, SCSO is asking for the public’s assistance identifying the other two suspects, which are the males on the left and at the center of this photograph provided by police.

Ricks, who is on the right, is described as a black male, approximately 5’11” weighing 220 lbs. SCSO said his current hair and beard style unknown.
