Lane closures across Northern Neck next week for shoulder widening

Next week, VDOT will begin widening shoulders on roads in the Northern Neck to reduce crash risks.

In addition to installing 2-foot paved shoulders, crews will also install shoulder rumble strips, 6-inch edge line pavement markings and relocate existing signs as required.

VDOT said drivers should expect lane closures and one-way, alternating traffic in these work zones.
