Public encouraged to comment on Rt. 14 experiences in Gloucester

VDOT is conducting on study on the driving conditions in Gloucester on Rt. 14 between Main Street and Ware Neck Rd. focused on safety, congestion, access management, and bicycle/pedestrian accommodation in the study area.

VDOT is encouraging the public to provide input on their travel experience via this survey.

Individuals who want to submit written comments by other means can do so by writing to Rachel Inman, VDOT Study Manager, 87 Deacon Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22405, or emailing [email protected] with “Route 14 Study Gloucester” in the email subject line.

The current round of public comments will be accepted until March. VDOT said that input will be used to help develop conceptual improvements.

Next steps

Then, in the fall, VDOT said there will be an in-person public meeting where they’ll share the recommended improvements, and the public will also get an opportunity to comment on those proposals. Comments gathered from that will be used for the final study, the department added.
