Virginia AG Launches Voter Protection Section Ahead of Election
With the next election only weeks away, Virginia Attorney General Jay Jones announced that his office has launched the Voter Protection Section “to address the continued erosion of the federal Voting Rights Act.”
“...The work of civil rights and voting rights is never finished,” said Jones. “This work now has a new permanent home, and a team focused every day on defending voting rights and enforcing Virginia law.”
Jones said that in recent months, “courts around the nation have blocked the Trump Adminstration’s illegal efforts to undermine elections.”
