Stafford Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies discovered an unlicensed driver, a gun, suspected drugs, and wanted people during one traffic that led to the arrest of four individuals.
According to SCSO, it was approximately 11 p.m. on January 10th and Deputy S.T. Myers was on I-95 South near the Warrenton Road exit when he clocked a vehicle traveling 85 mph in a 65 mph zone.
After running a check and determining that the registered owner had a suspended driver’s license for DUI, the Sheriff’s Office said Myers conducted traffic stop near mile marker 131. Meanwhile, additional deputies were on the way.
While talking to the driver “not only were suspected controlled substances observed, but a firearm and radar detection device were as well,” SCSO reported.
That driver was the vehicle’s registered owner, Joseph Eddy, age 51, said SCSO added.
Other deputies who arrived on the scene identified some of the passengers as being wanted. Deputy A.J. Charoenthep “knew” 48-year-old Karrie Inez Ramsey of Fredericksburg was wanted for felony probation violation and possession of controlled substances, so she was detained, said SCSO.
And deputy S.A. Hensley “knew” Ashlie Lauren Frazier, a 37-year-old Stafford woman, was wanted for possession of controlled substances, leading to her also being detained.
A search of the vehicle and searches of the individuals led to the discovery of “numerous suspected controlled substances, said SCSO.
Eddy was charged with possession of controlled substances with intent to distribute, possession of controlled substances with intent to distribute while in possession of a weapon, weapon possession by a felon, driving with a revoked driver’s license, and having a radar detection device in the vehicle. He is being held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
In addition to her outstanding warrants, Ramsey was charged with possession of controlled substances. She is being held at RRJ without bond.
Frazier was served her outstanding drug warrant but didn’t receive any additional charges. She is at RRJ being held without bond.
A third passenger in the vehicle, Mario Puga, a 57-yar-old Fredericksburg man was charged with drug possession. He was granted a $3,000 bond and has been released.
