Another Truist bank robbery in Leesburg, suspect arrested

Leesburg Police Department announced the man suspected of robbing Truist Bank this morning has been arrested. Earlier today, LPD revealed officers were on the scene around the 1000 block of Edwards Ferry Road NE and the 200 block of Fort Evans Road NE (Leesburg Premium Outlets) actively investigating a robbery that occurred at approximately 11:40 a.m. While canvassing the area, an officer spotted a person matching the suspect’s description near the Leesburg Premium Outlet Mall. The sheriff’s office in Henry County, VA announced that a Sept. 21 police chase led the arrest of a passenger who was a North Carolina fugitive while the driver became a fugitive who was captured in Myrtle Beach. The chase At about 2:11 p.m., a deputy recognized a white Buick on Greensboro Rd. that was reportedly involved in a larceny at a local business and ran the license plate, but it came back with information that didn’t match the vehicle, Henry County Sheriff’s Office stated. Fairfax, VA man identified and charged in armed road rage case

Maryland State Police announced a Fairfax County, VA man has been arrested after being identified as the suspect in an “armed road rage” case this winter. The incident dates back to February 2, which is when MSP says a report came in that a driver in a black Ford F-150 pointed a firearm at another motorist. This allegedly occurred in the area of Interstate 95 and Route 1 in Prince George’s County. Using dashcam footage, investigators identified the suspect as 34-year-old Joshua John Cook, said MSP. Nathaniel Lee Edmonds, a 24-year-old from Front Royal, is currently in RSW Regional Jail facing a 2nd degree murder charge for the death of his 1-year-old. The child died Wednesday, Sept. 18, according to Front Royal Police Dept. Officers were dispatched to a home in the 300 block of North Royal Avenue at approximately 2:40 p.m. for the report of a child in cardiac arrest, the Dept. stated. Within one week, Shenandoah Sheriff’s Office has charged four teenagers for four separate cases of school related threats. The latest incident occurred yesterday, Sept. 17. A 16-year-old female from Edinburg was identified as the suspect for two verbal threats involving Central High School, SCSO reported. Her threats were reported to both school officials and local police. An investigation is underway after another group of New Yorkers were arrested for “organized retail theft incidents” in northern Virginia stores, Leesburg Police Department announced. On Sunday, LPD arrested 10 people at the scene of one of their alleged hits. It was about 5:30 p.m. when LPD responded to Target at 1200 Edwards Ferry Road NE. LPD said it was reported that a group of individuals took merchandise from the store, left, and divided up into two vehicles. New Loudoun judge arrested for public intoxication

A week after being sworn in as a judge for Virginia’s 20th Judicial District, Charles F. Koehler, Jr. was arrested by Leesburg Police Department. According to LPD, at 1:30 this morning, officers responded to a report of an individual walking down the Leesburg Bypass near South King Street. That individual was reportedly Koehler. LPD said after officers interacted with him, he was arrested and charged for public intoxication. Koehler was transported to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center and was released on his own recognizance, LPD stated. Koehler is a sitting judge in Loudoun.
