On Tuesday, Nov. 14, at around 8:40 p.m., police responded to the 3700 block of Wharf Ln. in Triangle to investigate a shooting and reported finding Smalls lying on the ground.

Witnesses reported hearing gunshots in the area where the 26-year-old was shot, the Police Department stated. And they found shell casings in the road and discovered a residence in the Linden Park Apartment complex was also hit by gunfire.

Officers provided first aid to Smalls, who arrived at the hospital alive, but later died, according to police.

Terrell was identified as the suspect the following day and police obtained warrants for his arrest. According to PWPD, they worked with Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office to execute “multiple search warrants” in Spotsylvania, but they didn’t find Terrell.

He’s described as being approximately 5’11”, 200lbs. and having black hair, brown eyes, and a tattoo on his chest.
