Michael Cody Solomon, a 29‑year‑old Martinsville man, is wanted in Patrick County.

On Saturday, January 24, Patrick County deputies responded to Stuart Community Hospital for a patient with a gunshot wound. The victim was Allen Bowman, a 27‑year‑old from Stuart.

According to the Patrick County Sheriff’s Office, Bowman said he was scheduled to meet Solomon, an acquaintance, at a vacant lot on Salem Highway just south of Stuart. When he arrived, Solomon was already there in a black SUV.

Patrick County Sheriff Dan Smith said that during the meeting, several rounds were fired at Bowman, and he was struck once in the wrist. Solomon reportedly fled, and a search is underway to find him.

According to Sheriff Smith, deputies went to the crime scene and collected evidence. PCSO has obtained warrants for Solomon on charges of attempted armed robbery, malicious wounding, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Initially, Sheriff Smith said Solomon was believed to be in Henry County.

“We are working closely with our HCSO partners to see that Solomon is arrested expeditiously,” the sheriff said Sunday.
