Virginia State Police identified the suspect in the May 26, 2024 hit and run in Powhatan and is asking for the public’s help to find him.
The suspect, Dustin A. Bailey, is a 36-year-old Powhatan resident. According to VSP, he previously worked on Iron Bridge Road in Chesterfield and in the City of Richmond.
On the day of that incident, at approximately 10:04 a.m., a 2019 Kia Forte was stopped at a red light on Rt. 60 (Anderson Highway) at the intersection with Luck Stone Rd. and was rear-ended by a 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche that reportedly fled the scene.
The Forte drive suffered minor injuries according to VSP.
Bailey, the suspected, Avalanche is wanted for hit and run and driving without a license.
