Bushey was taken into custody at about 5 p.m. He was reportedly “not far” from VADOC property.
Authorities are searching for an inmate who escaped in Greensville County.
The Virginia Department of Corrections has partnered with law enforcement agencies and are actively searching for Jeremy Paul Bushey, 27, an inmate assigned to a state work program who walked off a VADOC farm property Friday, Oct. 10.

VADOC reported that he disappeared around 1:15 p.m. while working.
Bushey was housed at Deerfield Men’s Work Center #2.
He’s described as a white male, 5 feet 9 inches tall, and weighing 188 pounds. Bushey has brown hair and brown eyes.
He is currently serving a two-year, seven-month sentence for burglary, grand larceny, and shoplifting.
Anyone who sees Bushey is advised call 911.
