A wanted man with 20 outstanding warrants was caught and arrested in Charles City County. On January 28, James City County Police Department released a wanted poster for 22-year-old Tyler Kwan Wallace and announced he had 20 warrants issued between August and December 2024. The charges included abduction, assault and battery, strangulation, and child abuse, JCCPD said. “Despite exhaustive efforts to locate him, Wallace remains at large,” said JCCPD. Although the department asked the public to provide information, the public was advised not approach him and said he should be considered armed. US Marshals offering reward for escaped inmate from North Carolina

With the manhunt approaching two weeks, the U.S. Marshals Service announced a reward up to $7,000 for escapee John Matthew Nigh. Nigh, a 37-year-old white male, is wanted for escaping from the Craven County Detention Facility in North Carolina. USMS labeled him armed and dangerous and said he has an extensive criminal history including attempted murder of law enforcement, drugs, and weapons charges. According to Craven County Sheriff’s Office, detention officers discovered Nigh was missing from his cell at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 26. The incident began around 4:51 p.m. when law enforcement officers attempted to pull over a 2011 Chevrolet Camaro for improper registration. Hasimba C. Brown, a 41-year-old Richmond, VA man who is wanted for a list of violent crimes, was caught in an upstate New York village. Wednesday afternoon, Robert Maciol, Sheriff of Oneida County, NY confirmed Brown, is in custody and being held with no bond. FBI offering reward for info on Truist bank robbery in Leesburg, VA

As the one-year mark approaches since a robbery at Truist Bank in Leesburg, police are making a renewed push for information from the public. The incident occurred at the Truist bank located at 1007 Edwards Free Rd. NE on October 2, 2023. And the suspect, described as a black male, remains unknown, Leesburg Police Department announced earlier this week. Fredericksburg officers had the Move Over Law top of mind last week. On two consecutive days, cases of drivers allegedly failing to move over ended with drug charges. Wednesday stop The first incident occurred on Wednesday, August 21. Officer Velasco was providing backup for a traffic stop in the 1800 block of Emancipation Highway and a vehicle came by that failed to move over and failed to slow down, according to FPD. Velasco was cleared and went after vehicle that passed. When he made the stop, FPD said Officer Hibbitts arrived at the scene to assist. The two officers saw “drug items in plain view,” FPD reported. On Tuesday, Henry County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 44-year-old man wanted by four law enforcement agencies for a list of charges, including hit and run, drugs, and larceny. HCSO said officers executed a search warrant on a residence at 1106 Joppa Rd. in Ridgeway after obtaining “credible information” that William Jackson Kennedy was hiding at the location. Stafford police looking for man suspected in stabbing case

Stafford County police are looking for the suspect in an August 20 stabbing in Crystal Lake Mobile Home Park. That morning, shortly after 5 a.m., a call came in reporting the incident. By the time police arrived, the suspect, identified as Jamie Flores, had fled the scene, Stafford County Sheriff’s Office reported. Authorities didn’t give an estimated time that the stabbing occurred, but said Flores had a lengthy head start on his escape. Wanted Earlysville pair found in Caroline w/ U-Haul reportedly stolen in Tennessee

An Earlysville pair wanted on theft-related charges were caught in Caroline with a U-Haul that the Sheriff’s Office said was stolen from Tennessee. According to Caroline Sheriff’s Office, on August 10, Lt. B. Sadler spotted a U-Haul moving truck heading north on Rt. 301 that matched the description of one that he’d been advised was stolen from Tennessee. When Sadler ran the license plate, he confirmed that it was the stolen vehicle in question. But before he could turn on his lights to try to make a stop, the U-Haul made a quick turn into a driveway and the passenger jumped out and ran, CCSO reported. Lt. US Marshals catch murder suspect 8 months after Prince William shooting

The US Marshals Service caught the Fredericksburg man who was wanted in Prince William for the murder of 26-year-old Quatrail Raynard Smalls of Big Stone Gap. As  previously reported, on November 14, Prince William County Police found Smalls shot in the 3700 block of Wharf Lane in Triangle. He survived the trip to the hospital but later died. The following day, PWCPD announced Tyus James Terrell, a 27-year-old Fredericksburg man, as the suspect. After over a week  of fruitless attempts to find him, the department announced a $5,000 reward. On January 3, PWCPD doubled the reward, but still there was no Terrell until this week.
