Two former Warren County deputies, Zachary Fadely, 31, and Tyler Poe, 27, are now facing homicide charges for a low-speed chase that resulted in the death of Ralph C. Ennis, a 77-year-old Gainsville man. On April 2, 2022, at about 1:20 a.m., Warren County police encountered Ennis on Winchester Rd. and initiated a traffic stop because he was speeding—63 in a 55 mph zone, according to Virginia State Police. Body camera footage from a Front Royal officer, R.D. Lowery, who responded to scene but appears to have left without getting involved shows a significant police response, including an officer with a dog. Tractor-trailer crashes into medical transport, Tappahannock man flown out

Two people were hospitalized after a tractor-trailer crashed into a medical transport van in Essex, Virginia State Police announced. On Tuesday morning, a medical transport van, a 2012 Dodge, was stopped in the road on Rt. 360 about .2 of a mile west of Route 619 because a tree had fallen across both the eastbound and westbound lanes, according to VSP. A 2015 Freightliner tractor-trailer rear-ended the van, which had a passenger in route to McGuire Veterans Hospital. VSP, said after impact with the van, the tractor-trailer jack-knifed and hit the bridge. A portion of the cab was over the side of the bridge. A 20-year-old Tappahannock man who was wanted for 1st degree murder was arrested at a convenience store in Tappahannock. Kearrah T. Chappell, a 21-year-old Westmoreland woman was reported missing on April 1st. The last sighting of her was around 9 p.m. that day at her home, according to information from Richmond County Sheriff’s Office. A 33-year-old Blue Ridge man has been charged with the murder of a 5-year-old boy last summer. 911 call On August 2, 2023, shortly after 10 p.m., Botetourt Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting an unresponsive child. Deputies and emergency medical personnel responded to the scene in the 2900 block of Blue Ridge Springs Rd. and found there was a young boy who was indeed unresponsive. A 53-year-old Charlotte man wanted in connection with a Huntersville, NC homicide was captured in Alexandria and is awaiting extradition. On Tuesday, March 19, Huntersville Police reported that officers responded to a scene where a woman was said to be unresponsive in a vehicle on Hylas Lane. College Park, MD man hit with +20 charges after Virginia police chase

A College Park, MD man is in jail in Fairfax  facing a list of charges after allegedly leading Virginia state troopers on a police chase. The incident occurred Sunday, March 17. State troopers had been alerted that a stolen vehicle may pass along Rt. 1 in Fairfax. As warned, a state trooper spotted the stolen vehicle at about 3:40 a.m. and activated his emergency lights and siren with plans to conduct a traffic stop, VSP reported. Leesburg Police are asking for the public’s help to identify the suspect in a bank robbery. The suspect is reportedly a black male believed to be between the ages of 25 and 35. He’s about 5’8 and described as a having a medium build. According to LPD, the robbery occurred at the Truist bank located at 1007 Edwards Free Rd. NE on October 2 at 3:32 p.m. LPD said the suspect was wearing a black Nike shirt, black pants with a white pattern and black shoes. He also had on a cross necklace and baseball cap. Virginia State Police announced an investigation into an 18-year-old who was reportedly involved in a police pursuit and a three-vehicle crash in Fairfax. The incident started around 11:19 p.m on Thursday, March 14, when, according to VSP, they attempted to stop a speeding grey Honda Odyssey heading westbound on I-495. When police initially attempted the stop, the Odyssey was approaching I-95 South. The minivan reportedly refused to stop, and the pursuit initiated. Leesburg Police have launched an investigation and are urging the public to reach out with any information regarding a deceased “late-term fetus” found in a pond. According to LPD, the body was discovered in the pond behind Park Gate Drive SE by a community member around 4:30 p.m. on March 11. That pond is nestled in a residential community and circled by a trail. Houses run the length along both sides of the pond, and Stryker, a medical technologies and healthcare company, sits at one corner.
