Loudoun charges former deputy with sexual battery of an inmate

Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office announced one of its former correctional deputies, 43-year-old Yesenia Jusino Ramos of Mount Wolf, PA, has been charged for touching an inmate inappropriately and delivering contraband to that inmate at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center (ADC). LCSO stated that the charges follow a comprehensive investigation and consultation with the Commonwealth’s Attorney. Abduction call leads to Loudoun-Fairfax police chase

A Leesburg man is facing a list of charges in Loudoun and Fairfax after an abduction call led to a police chase went from Ashburn to the Tysons Corner area. On Oct. 30, just before 2 p.m., Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office said a citizen called and reported what was believed to be an abduction in progress. When deputies arrived, the suspect drove away in a black Hummer and headed north on Loudoun County Parkway. Despite officers having their emergency equipment activated, the driver disregarded the deputies attempts to stop him and continued into Fairfax, LCSO stated. 5 days: New Castle former nurse sentenced in federal drug conspiracy

Debra Kay Shaffer’s involvement in a white-collar drug conspiracy earned her less than a week of jailtime. Under a plea bargain, Shaffer, a 71-year-old New Castle woman, pled guilty to one count of using the DEA Registration number of another for prescribing substances. An XDEA number is a unique identifier assigned to a medical provider who is approved to prescribe buprenorphine for opioid addition. In court documents, Shaffer admitted that while she was working as a nurse practitioner for L5 Medical, which operated a chain of pain clinics, she would use the XDEA number of doctors associated the clinics to write prescriptions for Suboxone under their name.
