Rishon Winkler, the 20-year-old Baltimore man accused in the previously reported fatal stabbing on Browns Store Rd. last Saturday was caught within miles of the crime scene, according to an update from Northumberland Sheriff’s Office. When dispatch received the report of a stabbing in the 2700 block of Browns Store Rd., deputies arrived within minutes, NCSO reported. One victim, an unnamed woman, was in the driveway suffering from multiple stab wounds, but she was able to tell police that there was another victim in the house, and she provided a description of Winkler. Virginia State Police provided additional details and released the identities of the individuals involved in the fatal crash on Lankford Hwy. (Rt. 13) in Accomack Tuesday evening. The crash occurred in Nelsonia on Lankford Hwy. north of Annis Lane at about 4:16 p.m. Augusto Santos Aguilar, a 69-year-old Tampa, FL man, was heading north in a Mazda sedan but “for an undetermined reason” crossed over into the southbound lane and was hit head-on by a Freightliner box truck, VSP said the preliminary investigation revealed. Virginia Department of Corrections announced an operational plan is being developed specifically for Greensville Correctional Center after an array of contraband was discovered including drugs and weapons. Fredericksburg man wanted for murder in Prince William

Tyrus James Terrell, a 27-year-old Fredericksburg resident, is wanted for the murder of Quatrail R. Smalls of Big Stone Gap, Prince William Police Department announced. On Tuesday, Nov. 14, at around 8:40 p.m., police responded to the 3700 block of Wharf Ln. in Triangle to investigate a shooting and reported finding Smalls lying on the ground. The new I-95 North local lanes have started opening and are supposed to be fully opened by 4:30 a.m. tomorrow, Friday, Nov.17. After the complete opening, for about a month, the way Rt. 3 and Rt. 17 drivers access the 95 North Express Lanes will change, VDOT has noted. When drivers get on I-95 North from Rt. 3, they will be in the new local lanes. Those lanes are separated from the 95 North through lanes by a barrier. For now, the first chance these drivers will have to access the 95 North Express lanes will be north of the Exit 140 (Courthouse Road) interchange in Stafford. Stafford County Sheriff’s Office reported a vehicle-to-vehicle maneuver was used to stop a Mechanicsville woman that led police on a high-speed chase in a Nissan Rogue. Monday, November 13, marked the groundbreaking for the $756 million I-64 Gap Widening Project. The project’s goal is to improve travel between Richmond to Hampton Roads. To do so, the plan is to expand each side of the highway from two lanes to three lanes from mile marker 204.9 in New Kent County to mile marker 233.3 in James City County. Also, 10-foot-wide paved shoulders will be added in each direction. Adjoining parts of I-64 are already have six or more lane, and that’s why this area is referred to as “the gap,” notes VDOT. A Leesburg man is facing a list of charges in Loudoun and Fairfax after an abduction call led to a police chase went from Ashburn to the Tysons Corner area.
