Philly Man Extradited for Aeropostale Robbery in Leesburg

A Philadelphia man has been extradited to Virginia in connection with a 2024 burglary at the Aeropostale store at Leesburg Premium Outlets. According to Leesburg Police, officers responded to the store around 5:15 a.m. on November 23, 2024, after receiving a burglary report. They arrived to find the front door’s glass shattered and an undisclosed number of items stolen. An arrest has been made in connection with a hit-and-run crash in Spotsylvania that claimed the life of a 20-year-old man on January 9. According to Lt. Colonel Delbert Myrick, preliminary findings show that around 10 p.m. that Friday night, Sameer Anwar was riding an e-bike equipped with lights eastbound on Courthouse Road when he was struck from behind by a burgundy GMC SUV. (AD) The SUV fled the scene, and Anwar hit by a second vehicle, whose driver remained on site until Spotsylvania police and fire and rescue crews arrived. According to a statement from Chesterfield Fire & EMS, on January 4, there was “a scary situation” at Station 7 on Hull Street Road.
