Henry County Sheriff Vows Aggressive Pursuit in ‘Egregious’ Animal Cruelty Case
“Let us be clear: this investigation will not stop,” the Henry County Sheriff’s Office stated amid a boots‑on‑the‑ground investigation into a “disturbing and deeply troubling act of animal cruelty.”
On December 27, a poodle named Bella was let outside by her owner. Within minutes, the owners and several others heard gunshots.
Bella was found suffering from injuries consistent with being shot with birdshot, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office said.

The poodle was rushed to emergency care and underwent multiple procedures and surgeries. She is now recovering with her family but was left blind as a result of the incident, HCSO reported.
