Woodbridge man charged in fatal shooting of his wife, police ask for public’s help

Prince William County Police are trying to piece together what happened to cause a Woodbridge man to shoot his wife, and they’re asking for the public’s help. The shooting occurred on January 6. PWPD reported that, at around 5 p.m., its officers were dispatched to an area hospital where 24-year-old Desire Alexandria Buggs had been brought in suffering from a gunshot and later died. From the preliminary investigation, PWPD said they were able to determine that it was her husband, 24-year-old Daniel Okoe Lawson, who brought Buggs to the hospital. Man in Stafford accused of breaking into 2 businesses by tunneling through the wall

When deputies S.M. Craig and N.D. Fonseca responded to a business alarm at 198 Tyler Von Way, the address of Auto Chiefs, they found not only signs of a break-in there but also at Carplug next door, Stafford County Sheriff’s Office reported. Jerrylee Stacy Adams, a 35-year-old from Romney, WV was found at the scene, according to SCSO. He reportedly told the deputies that he worked for Auto Chiefs and was there to do some drywall work and then was going next door to buy a vehicle. SCSO said after both businesses were contacted and denied knowing anything about Adams, he was detained. Over 100 firefighters battled a major blaze that started Tuesday at a strip warehouse located at 4407 Wheeler Ave. in Alexandria. At 9:20 p.m. on Tuesday, a fire alarm was reported, but according to a statement from the City, the blaze quickly escalated into a major fire with intense flames ripping through the roof of the building. Wheeler Ave. was shut down in both directions between the 4000-4400 blocks. Alexandria Fire Dept. was assisted by surrounding jurisdictions in intensive firefighting operations that continued through the night into Wednesday. The 29-year-old Westmoreland County man wanted for murder in Stafford should be considered armed and dangerous, the Sheriff’s Office warned. Darren Jamal Newman is wanted for the fatal shooting of an unnamed 33-year-old from King George. A Leesburg man is facing a list of charges in Loudoun and Fairfax after an abduction call led to a police chase went from Ashburn to the Tysons Corner area. On Oct. 30, just before 2 p.m., Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office said a citizen called and reported what was believed to be an abduction in progress. When deputies arrived, the suspect drove away in a black Hummer and headed north on Loudoun County Parkway.
