A woman and dog were stabbed in Herndon, and the man accused of wielding the knife was shot. All three were receiving medical attention as of the last update provided by Herdon PD. her husbandOn Sunday, April 14, HPD officers responded to the 900 block of First Place shortly before noon after a woman called 911 to report her husband stabbed her. HPD said officers established contact with the suspect and he "approached" a responding officer with a knife. That officer shot the man, hitting him in the upper body, the department added. Virginia State Police announced an investigation into an 18-year-old who was reportedly involved in a police pursuit and a three-vehicle crash in Fairfax. The incident started around 11:19 p.m on Thursday, March 14, when, according to VSP, they attempted to stop a speeding grey Honda Odyssey heading westbound on I-495. When police initially attempted the stop, the Odyssey was approaching I-95 South. The minivan reportedly refused to stop, and the pursuit initiated. According to VSP, amid the chase, the Odyssey struck an unspecified vehicle near the exit for Route 1 but didn’t stop. With the pursuit still underway, the Odyssey crashed into a Toyota 4-Runner and then into a tractor-trailer near the exit for Route 123. The minivan “came to a rest on its side,” VSP reported. ...
