MS-13 gang inmates stab and kill K-9 in Sussex I

MS-13 gang members stabbed and killed K-9 Rivan while the dog was responding to an attack at Sussex I State Prison, VADOC announced. On Tuesday, April 2, three “verified members of MS-13” housed at Sussex I “viciously attacked another inmate,” while a fourth inmate appeared to be supervising the attack, VADOC stated. Officer Kharmishia Phillip Fields, a trained K-9 handler, and Rivan were working the area and responded to the incident to stop the attack. Four people were arrested in connection with the armed robbery of a videographer in the Milford area of Caroline County. A College Park, MD man is in jail in Fairfax  facing a list of charges after allegedly leading Virginia state troopers on a police chase. The incident occurred Sunday, March 17. State troopers had been alerted that a stolen vehicle may pass along Rt. 1 in Fairfax. Virginia State Police announced an investigation into an 18-year-old who was reportedly involved in a police pursuit and a three-vehicle crash in Fairfax. The incident started around 11:19 p.m on Thursday, March 14, when, according to VSP, they attempted to stop a speeding grey Honda Odyssey heading westbound on I-495. When police initially attempted the stop, the Odyssey was approaching I-95 South. The minivan reportedly refused to stop, and the pursuit initiated. On that Friday, at around 1:40 p.m., Deputy C.S. Harding responded to an assault call at Genesis Logistics on Bradburn Place. The caller reported that two employees got into a fight in the warehouse. Woodbridge man charged for death of Newport News man in Fairfax

Virginia State have announced charges against a Woodbridge man accused of killing a pedestrian in a fatal crash on I-495 west in Fairfax on Sunday, March 10. At around 3:30 a.m., Gregory B,. Bruington, Jr., a 30-year-old Newport News man, was on the left shoulder of the highway at the 175-mile marker changing the tire on a 2017 VW Golf. Carlos Lisandro Nunez-Morales was driving a 2003 Dodge Ram when he ran off the road to the left and hit Bruington, VSP reported. Bruington died at the scene. There was a passenger in the Golf, 24-year-old Hailey Frazier, who was injured despite wearing a seatbelt at the time, according to VSP. A large marijuana shipment that was reportedly destined for Paris won’t be arriving because authorities seized the 68 bags of vacuum-sealed buds at Dulles International Airport and arrested the men accused of transporting it. U.S. Customs and Border Patrol reported that the large bags of weed, which weighed over 72 pounds, were found in three checked suitcases that were being loaded onto a plane headed to Keflavik, Iceland. Kelvin Jerrod Jackson, a 33-year-old Mineral man, is facing a felony hit and run charge for crashing into a school bus in Caroline and leaving the scene. The incident occurred on February 7 at about 5:50 p.m. According to Caroline County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), a tractor-trailer hit a county school bus on Sparta Rd. near the intersection of Pendleton Rd.
