Cause of death for Norfolk sailor Resendiz is undetermined

The cause of death for the Navy sailor Angelina Resendiz has been ruled undetermined, her family reported. In a statement, the family wrote “Given the condition of her body, we understand why this conclusion was reached by the medical examiner.” Resendiz, a 21-year-old based at Naval Station Norfolk, was found dead off base nearly two weeks after she went missing.
