Stafford Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies discovered an unlicensed driver, a gun, suspected drugs, and wanted people during one traffic that led to the arrest of four individuals. According to SCSO, it was approximately 11 p.m. on January 10th and Deputy S.T. Myers was on I-95 South near the Warrenton Road exit when he clocked a vehicle traveling 85 mph in a 65 mph zone. After running a check and determining that the registered owner had a suspended driver’s license for DUI, the Sheriff's Office said Myers conducted traffic stop near mile marker 131. Woodbridge man charged in fatal shooting of his wife, police ask for public’s help

Prince William County Police are trying to piece together what happened to cause a Woodbridge man to shoot his wife, and they’re asking for the public’s help. The shooting occurred on January 6. PWPD reported that, at around 5 p.m., its officers were dispatched to an area hospital where 24-year-old Desire Alexandria Buggs had been brought in suffering from a gunshot and later died. From the preliminary investigation, PWPD said they were able to determine that it was her husband, 24-year-old Daniel Okoe Lawson, who brought Buggs to the hospital. Man in Stafford accused of breaking into 2 businesses by tunneling through the wall

When deputies S.M. Craig and N.D. Fonseca responded to a business alarm at 198 Tyler Von Way, the address of Auto Chiefs, they found not only signs of a break-in there but also at Carplug next door, Stafford County Sheriff’s Office reported. Jerrylee Stacy Adams, a 35-year-old from Romney, WV was found at the scene, according to SCSO. He reportedly told the deputies that he worked for Auto Chiefs and was there to do some drywall work and then was going next door to buy a vehicle. SCSO said after both businesses were contacted and denied knowing anything about Adams, he was detained. Within days, there were two fatal hunting dog shootings in neighboring counties in Virginia. But the incidents appear unrelated. The first incident occurred on Friday, December 29 in King and Queen County. According to Virginia’s Department of Wildlife Resources (DWR), three hunting dogs were found shot on a property off of Indian Neck Rd. Westmoreland man wanted for Stafford murder captured

The manhunt for 29-year-old Darren Jamal Newman of Westmoreland is over. Newman was wanted in Stafford for 2nd degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, all charges related to the fatal shooting of a 33-year-old King George man who police have yet to name. According to Stafford County Sheriff’s Office, the King George man was found shot in the 100 block of Deacon Rd. after midnight on December 30. He made it to the hospital alive but passed away a short time later. Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office announced there’s an active investigation into a January 2 shooting but an arrest has been made. According to GCSO, deputies were dispatched to the 2300 Block of Perrin Creek Rd at 6:58 p.m. on Tuesday. Darren Jamal Newman is wanted for the fatal shooting of an unnamed 33-year-old from King George.
