Stafford man convicted for gun on YouTube, sentenced for another federal gun charge
At only 27 years old, Najee Lewis, aka Bebo, of Stafford was hit with another federal prison sentence today.
In 2014, Prince William Circuit Court sentenced Lewis for two robberies committed two days apart. Seven years of his 10-year sentence was suspended, and he was released in May 2018, court records show.
Less than four months after his release for the robbery charges, Lewis was caught with a 9mm Ruger displayed in a music video on YouTube, That firearm was reported stolen in 2018 and was recovered in October 2019, documents from the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia (EDVA) show.
EDVA stated that when Lewis appeared in the music video, “Lewis knew he was a convicted felon and was prohibited from possessing the firearm.”
