A 22-year-old Williamsburg man has been sentenced to federal prison after admitting he sent images of child sexual abuse to a Williamsburg police officer in a threatening email. On February 14, while on duty, “Police Officer 1” asked Xavier Stafford to move his vehicle off private property. The following day, the officer again requested that Stafford move his vehicle. Over Thanksgiving weekend, a hospital employee was stabbed at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center in what authorities describe as an unprovoked attack inside Deputies were called to the emergency room waiting area around 3 a.m. on Sunday, November 30. When they arrived, they found blood on the floor and a broken ink pen believed to have been used in the assault. According to the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office, 38-year-old Nicole Smith of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, appears to have been sitting in the waiting area when she became enraged.
