Leesburg Police have launched an investigation and are urging the public to reach out with any information regarding a deceased “late-term fetus” found in a pond. According to LPD, the body was discovered in the pond behind Park Gate Drive SE by a community member around 4:30 p.m. on March 11. That pond is nestled in a residential community and circled by a trail. Woodbridge man charged for death of Newport News man in Fairfax

Virginia State have announced charges against a Woodbridge man accused of killing a pedestrian in a fatal crash on I-495 west in Fairfax on Sunday, March 10. At around 3:30 a.m., Gregory B,. Bruington, Jr., a 30-year-old Newport News man, was on the left shoulder of the highway at the 175-mile marker changing the tire on a 2017 VW Golf. Carlos Lisandro Nunez-Morales was driving a 2003 Dodge Ram when he ran off the road to the left and hit Bruington, VSP reported. Bruington died at the scene. There was a passenger in the Golf, 24-year-old Hailey Frazier, who was injured despite wearing a seatbelt at the time, according to VSP. 2 pedestrians killed on I-495 in Fairfax in separate incidents

Virginia State Police were dispatched to two fatal pedestrian crashes in Fairfax County today within a half-hour. The incidents were in close proximity but are unrelated, police say. Incident #1 The call for the first incident came in at 3:39 a.m. VSP said, at present, it appears that the unnamed individual was on the shoulder of the westbound lanes of I-495 east of Exit 176 changing a tire and got hit by a truck. The individual changing the tire died at the scene. The unnamed driver of the truck was transported to the hospital. Authorities in Alexandria have reportedly launched an investigation into the death of an inmate at William G. Truesdale Adult Detention Center. At around 4 a.m., on February 26, an unnamed deputy reportedly found Ahntais Jacoby Lucas, a 39-year-old Fairfax man, “unresponsive in his cell alone and experiencing an apparent medical emergency,” a statement from Alexandria said. A deputy immediately called for assistance from the jail’s medical staff, and together, they attempted life-saving measures.
